Tesla's got a crazy new vehicle that looks nothing like anything the company has made before, and it's even got a crazy new name: "Cybertruck."

Thus far, the Cybertruck's distinct look has been its most polarizing feature.

Some folks love it, some folks hate it. It's even become a meme, with hilarious people all over the internet highlighting how much the angular truck looks like something ripped from a video game:

That last bit was by design, apparently.

"Cybertruck is inspired by games like 'Halo,'" Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently tweeted. "Warthog irl!!"

The Warthog is the iconic vehicle from the first-person shooter game series "Halo," which is owned by Microsoft, and it bears a striking resemblance to the Cybertruck.

Here's the Warthog:

See the similarity? Even if you don't, Musk clearly did — no doubt a testament to his love of video games.

He even took a moment to respond to infamous YouTube star Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg — who previously hosted Musk on his YouTube channel — when Kjellberg asked about "attachments."

In this case, the "attachments" are a reference to the mounted Gatling gun on the back of the Warthog.

Musk told Kjellberg that the Cybertruck will "have some sick attachments," but we're guessing he's speaking more to the truck's ability to convert into a form of a camper rather than mounting a gun turret in the truck bed.

Here's hoping that Tesla doesn't add a Cybertruck mount for that Boring Company flamethrower!
