There are few streaming services out there that feature more content than Max, the service formerly known as HBO Max. And from now through November 27, new and returning Max customers can take advantage of this Black Friday Max deal to get six months of the ad-supported subscription tier for only $2.99 a month.

Max plans normally start at $9.99 monthly for the ad-supported version, so this deal offers a 70% discount. Max has recently raised its prices too, so this is the best introductory deal you can expect, as long as you don't mind watching a few commercials between shows.

Max with ads (Monthly Plan)

Formerly HBO Max, now just Max, this streaming service is the US home of premium content from HBO and Warner Bros. Since the rebranding, it's now also the home of Discovery content for reality, food, true crime, and more. This massively reduced rate will last for six months, making it a great time to join. Sadly, there's no deal on the no-ads tier. This offer expires on November 27.

Commercial-free Max costs $16 a month, and you need to pay $4 more ($20) to watch Max in 4K with no commercials. Annual plans are available too, but none of them have their own Black Friday deals either.

Along with HBO original programming like "The Last of Us" and "Game of Thrones," Max's library features shows and movies from Warner Bros, Discovery, Cartoon Network, Studio Ghibli, and more. Max also includes nearly every DC movie, including "The Dark Knight" and "Zack Snyder's Justice League," as well as live sports from TNT through the B/R sports add-on that you can add for no additional cost.

We're following multiple Black Friday streaming deals, including discounts on Hulu, Peacock, and Paramount Plus. You can check out our full coverage of the Best Black Friday deals for everything you need.
