Forget Gareth Bale, a family arrangement could have ended up yielding Real Madrid's signing of the summer.
And it's all thanks to Carlo Ancelotti's daughter.
Katia is responsible for the Spanish giants hiring Mino Fulco - a nutritionist.
Why? Because Fulco happens to be her boyfriend.
The move, shortly before the end of August - in the same week as Bale's world-record transfer from Tottenham Hotspur for £86m - wasn't a smooth one though.
Madrid remained insistent that they had enough bodies on the fitness side and blocked the switch.
But Ancelotti was equally obtuse and forced the club to allow Fulco to assume his new role.
The ex-Chelsea man's son, Davide, already works at the Santiago Bernabeu in a coaching capacity.
Ancelotti, 54, only joined Madrid in June but has stamped his authority on the club.
They are already five points adrift of Barcelona, who top La Liga alongside Atletico Madrid after eight games.
