In reply Fallon said, “No, I am, but no. I played one in a movie.” Fallon also detailed the hate and jibes he received from Boston Red Sox fans while shooting scenes from the movie at Fenway Park.
Fallon was most famously in attendance for Derek Jeter’s last home game. He regularly attends Yankees home games. Fallon and Jeter are old friends and the latter has been on the Tonight Show multiple times. In addition to this, Jimmy Fallon has invited other Yankees players to be on the show as well.
